We normally go to E-Yaun in E-town, but we wanted to go out to eat so we tried Jade. We will definitely be back. Good food, nice/clean restaurant, service was great, the staff was friendly, prices reasonable, and servings generous. I had General Tso's, and it was good, not great, but good. Other people with me had Shrimp Lo Mein, Sweat & Sour Chicken, and Chicken and Broccoli, and they were all great. We all got the combination platters which give you a ton of food for the money and price. Skip the egg rolls though, not so good.

Food is okay, not the best I've had...and 9/10 times they have gotten our orders either wrong or forgot something

Excellent service and great food. Food is hot and served in a generous portion. Premises are very clean. A great place for "Chinese"

First time trying take-away and had mixed results. Sesame chicken and hot and sour soup were typical take-out quality - fair. My husband did not like the Kung Pao chicken. However - the spare ribs were EXCELLENT!!! Meaty, tasty, high quality. Customer service for the phone call in and pick-up was very good, polite, attentive and quick. Will check out other items on menu to find shining stars.

Pretty bad food. I think those who love this place (and we have heard of many) may not be well acquainted with good chinese food.

Place is great. Lo Mein and steamed dumplings are great here. Only place nearby with good chinese food.

Jade Garden underwent an expansion. Both in size and in menu. It now offers sushi at small town PA prices. The sushi is pretty good, better than ok. The American style chinese food has also taken a step up. Tofu prep has improved since I started coming here. Take out is often quick and prices for certain dishes area is higher than other Asian take out in the area. Dining in usually feels rushed, but I still come several times a month. Keep up the progress!

Definitely some of the best Chinese food in the Mount Joy/Elizabethtown area. It's a tie between this restaurant and "Chen's House" in Marietta, though I'm usually too lazy to drive all the way out there for some decent Chinese food. I've eaten Chinese food at several different places, both in the central PA area, and my hometown near Boston Massachusetts, and I can guarantee you that this place is top notch.

Very poor customer service. We were one of only two tables. When my wife who is allergic to gluten asked if the wraps were made of rice or flour the server rolled his eyes at her and said flour in an exasperated voice. We had asked a couple of other questions prior to this, but nothing extreme. The server was short with us and irritable from the get go. We just got up and walked out.

Jade Garden is the best Chinese food spot around! I personally like the Sesame Chicken combination platter, but also enjoy getting their fresh sushi on occasion. The staff are always very welcoming. They have take out and dine-in options.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
